The Faculty of Life Sciences (FLS) combines the strengths of UCL’s basic biological and preclinical sciences and is associated with 11 Nobel Laureates. The role provides dedicated executive support, undertaking a wide range of administration support and organisational activities within the Institute of Structural and Molecular Biology. The post holder will work closely with the Head of Research Department, academic and research staff and Divisional professional services teams, as well as other colleagues across the Faculty and beyond.

About The Role
The post holder will assist Professor Franca Fraternali with the day-to-day administration (Diary Management, Travel bookings, etc.) as well as play a role in coordinating activity and working with the Executive Assistant for the Research Department of Structural and Molecular Biology.
- The post is grade 6, the annual full-time salary for which ranges from £35,930 to £41,255 (including London Allowance).
- The appointment is available asap and is funded until 30 June 2028.

- An acceptable DBS check is required to carry out this role.
- This is a fixed-term role for 3 years
- This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 50% on site.

About You
You will have a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience, with a strong track record of working in high-performing teams within busy environments. You are highly organised and methodical, with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including experience managing meetings, engaging diverse stakeholders, and maintaining accurate records.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems, you are detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to prioritise effectively.
A collaborative team player, you are adaptable, proactive, and motivated to contribute across a dynamic and evolving environment. Experience in international or higher education settings is desirable.
