Job summary

Martongate Primary School in Bridlington is seeking an Achievement Support Assistant to join our hardworking staff within the EYFS setting. This permanent, term-time role offers 30 hours per week and the actual salary range of £18,591 to £19,191 per annum, SCP 7–9, with a supportive environment and opportunities to develop in a well‑regarded school.

Qualifications

  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
  • Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
  • Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils understanding clearly how pupils learn.
  • Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress towards academic, social, behavioural and learning skills.
  • Liaise closely with appropriate staff in relation to safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing issues.
  • Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
