Job summary

Cleeve Primary School in the United Kingdom is seeking an Achievement Support Assistant to join a hardworking and dedicated staff. The role is permanent, with 31 hours per week during term time (190 days) and an actual salary of £19,211–£19,830 per annum.

The successful candidate will support pupils’ academic, social, emotional and behavioural development, set high expectations, promote positive pupil behaviour and provide detailed feedback to teachers on progress.

  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
  • Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
  • Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils understanding clearly how pupils learn.
  • Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress towards academic, social, behavioural and learning skills.
  • Liaise closely with appropriate staff in relation to safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing issues.
  • Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
