Academics Agency is recruiting dependable Progress Tutors to support secondary schools throughout Retford. The role is temporary, term-time, and based in multiple schools around Retford. Daily rates range from £92.56 to £110, with holiday entitlement included.

You will tutor students on a one-to-one and small-group basis, monitor progress, and help with EHCPs under SENCO guidance. The position emphasizes raising attainment, building study skills, and collaboration with teaching staff.

Qualifications

• Level 4/5 or equivalent tutoring qualification.
• Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting.
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references confirming tutoring/education experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted one-to-one and small group tutoring sessions across a range of subjects and year groups.

Academics Agency is recruiting dependable and flexible Progress Tutors to support secondary schools throughout Retford.

Job Details

• Position: Progress Tutor
• Employment Type: Temporary, during term time only (Monday to Friday)
• Placement: Multiple educational settings in the Retford area
• Salary: £92.56 - £110 per day, including accrued holiday entitlement. Higher rates may be offered based on prior experience, credentials, and individual school budgets.

As a Progress Tutor, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Duties

• Provide targeted one-to-one and small group tutoring sessions across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Monitor student progress, identify areas for development, and implement strategies to raise attainment.
• Assist with the practical application of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), collaborating with Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs) to tailor materials and monitor student development.
• Support students in building confidence, study skills, and independent learning techniques.
• Work alongside teaching staff to track progress and provide feedback on student performance.
