Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Progress Partner (SEND Teaching Assistant) in Crawley for a full-time September start, with immediate availability. This specialist educational setting supports children and young people with a range of SEND, and offers a supportive team environment.

You will deliver tailored 1:1 and small-group support, coordinate with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff, promote positive behaviour and wellbeing, and foster independence.

Qualifications

• Previous SEND experience within a school or educational setting.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate.
• Registered on the DBS Update Service.
• Available to start immediately and commit to a September start.
• Strong communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
• Work with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to support learning plans.
• Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
• Encourage independence and confidence inside and outside the classroom.
• Support pupils with their academic, social and personal development.
