Job summary

The Macclesfield Academy is seeking a Progress Mentor Manager to oversee and develop the college’s Progress Mentor provision, using data to raise achievement, attendance and welfare standards. The role requires onsite work from the start of the academic year and reports to the Head of Achievement and Support.

Permanent, full-time 37 hours per week, starting September 2026. The position focuses on closing achievement gaps, safeguarding compliance, and delivering a high-quality pastoral support

Qualifications

• Educated to A-Level Standard.
• Experience of working with children.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with students and colleagues.
• Ability to guide and inspire a team to achieve their goals.
• Strong performance management with an ability to drive the successful completion of key performance indicators.
• Effective ICT skills to support student learning.
• Skills and expertise to understand the needs of students.
• Knowledge of safeguarding children guidance and requirements.
• Energetic and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritise effectively.
