Job summary

Sir John Deane's College in Northwich is seeking a Progress Mentor Manager to lead the college's Progress Mentor provision and contribute to raising achievement and welfare across students.

Role: Progress Mentor Manager

Salary: Band 5 (SP15 - SP19) £32,199 - £36,564 (FTE) / £28,855 - £32,766 (Actual Salary)

Contract type: Permanent, Full time - 37 hours per week (Term Time plus 2 weeks)

Reporting to: Head of Achievement and Support

Start date: September 2026

This role is based at Sir John Deane's Sixth Form College; the country's leading sixth form college. It is an excellent place to work where colleagues are recognised for their hard work and supported to develop professionally.

About the Role

Responsible for the operational management, development and quality of the College's Progress Mentor provision.

To use data effectively to support the raising of standards at the College in relation to achievement, attendance, equality, welfare of students and closing all achievement gaps.

This role follows a college academic calendar and requires onsite attendance from the start of the academic year on GCSE Results Day (third Thursday in August), ending in mid-July.
