Job summary

The National Trust is seeking a Programming Assistant in Manchester to support delivery and development of our programme of activities and events. You will help create an enjoyable visitor experience and educate guests about our place.

The role requires flexible hours including weekends and Bank Holidays, with a DBS check and a salary of £13.25 per hour. The contract runs until 28 February 2027, with hours totalling around 281 across the term.

Job description

We're looking for a Programming Assistant to join us and assist with the delivery and development of our programme of activities and events. In doing so, you'll help create an enjoyable experience for everyone who visits and help them understand more about our wonderful place.

    This role is required to work with vulnerable groups including children, and any offer of employment or volunteering is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. Salary: 13.25 per hour Contract Duration: Fixed term until 28th February 2027 Working Hours: The hours advertised for this role is reflective of 12 months, however the actual hours you'll be required to work for this role are approximately 281 hours, depending on your start date. The amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the term of your contract. Working Pattern: Your working pattern will vary depending on the scheduled programme of events and activities, and will include weekend and Bank Holiday working. You can expect to work more hours during November and December to support a winter event, with fewer hours during January and February. Shifts will be from 9.45am to 3.45pm (5.5 hours)., The package The National Trust has the motto 'For everyone, for ever' at its heart.
