We're looking for a Programming Assistant to join us and assist with the delivery and development of our programme of activities and events. In doing so, you'll help create an enjoyable experience for everyone who visits and help them understand more about our wonderful place.
This role is required to work with vulnerable groups including children, and any offer of employment or volunteering is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
Salary: £13.25 per hour
Contract Duration: Fixed term until 28th February 2027
Working Hours: The hours advertised for this role is reflective of 12 months, however the actual hours you'll be required to work are approximately 281 hours, depending on your start date. The amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal installments over the term of your contract.
Working Pattern: Your working pattern will vary depending on the scheduled programme of events and activities, and will include weekend and Bank Holiday working. You can expect to work more hours during November and December to support a winter event, with fewer hours during January and February. Shifts will be from 9.45am to 3.45pm (5.5 hours).

Dunham Massey is a 3,000-acre estate situated approximately 10 miles south of central Manchester and three miles south of Altrincham. Roger Grey, 10th Earl of Stamford, gave it to the National Trust in 1976, and today it attracts over 500,000 visitors a year. This elegant Georgian mansion, set within a magnificent 300-acre deer park and including one of Britain's finest winter gardens, is a very popular visitor attraction with over 100 staff. The busy team has a strong commercial focus and a fast-paced environment. Within the park walls there is also a shop, café, restaurant, and ice cream parlour. On the wider estate, there are 20 farms, 100 cottages, a golf course, and an award-winning housing development. The house, garden, and parkland hide many layers of history and have many stories to tell.
Working with the team, you'll create and deliver events and activities that bring our place to life for our visitors all year round. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You'll help link everything we do back to our cause and the ongoing work we do. You'll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property are clear and consistent.
