Job summary

Leeds City College, based at Quarry Hill Campus, seeks a Programme Manager of English and Maths to lead the English and Maths team within the School of Creative Arts, serving over 1,600 learners aged 16–18 across three departments: Creative Media and Digital Arts, Music and Performance Production.

The role focuses on strategic leadership, teaching quality, and student experience within a purpose-built campus with state-of-the-art facilities.

Qualifications

• Background in a relevant discipline.
• Significant experience in the further education sector.
• Committed to providing opportunities for staff to develop and succeed.
• Supporting the Dep HoD with strategic decisions for students, colleagues and college aims.
• Interest in developing a strong bond with vocational teams.
• Experience working with external stakeholders such as qualification boards and arts organisations.

Responsibilities

• Manage an English and Maths team in the School of Creative Arts' provision.
• Plan and deliver an outstanding experience for students in collaboration with department leadership teams.
• Manage staff to deliver exceptional learner outcomes.
• Conduct student disciplinary meetings using restorative practice principles.
