Job summary

Capita is recruiting a Programme Facilitator to join the apprenticeship delivery team at HMS Collingwood, working with Royal Navy apprentices across a range of programmes. The role combines coaching, mentoring, stakeholder engagement and programme coordination to ensure a high-quality learning experience from start to finish.

This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level and offers opportunities to travel between sites in Scotland and

Qualifications

• Experience delivering or supporting apprenticeship programmes.
• Ability to manage a caseload and monitor progress.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience using multiple IT systems for records and reporting.
• Willingness to travel to Scotland and Plymouth.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of apprentices and support progression.
• Deliver learner support activities: briefs, reviews, coaching and mentoring.
• Prepare apprentices for Gateway and EPA readiness.
• Monitor progress and implement tailored recovery plans.
• Coordinate activities with stakeholders to ensure programme effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with QA requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of learner outcomes.

Job Description:

Full-time role - 37.5 hours a week

HMS Collingwood

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

• Managing a caseload of apprentices, supporting their progression and achievement throughout their apprenticeship journey.
• Delivering learner support activities including joining briefs, progress reviews, coaching, mentoring and intervention sessions.
• Helping apprentices prepare for Gateway and End Point Assessment (EPA), ensuring they are confident and ready to succeed.
• Monitoring learner progress, identifying those at risk of falling behind, and implementing tailored support and recovery plans.
• Coordinating apprenticeship activities and working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programmes run effectively.
• Building strong relationships with Royal Navy personnel, training teams, awarding organisations and delivery partners.
• Maintaining accurate learner records and ensuring compliance with apprenticeship, funding and quality assurance requirements.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance learner outcomes, programme performance and overall delivery quality.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

• Industry experience in apprenticeships
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and workloads.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Good IT skills and experience using multiple systems to maintain accurate records and track activity.
• Ability to travel to other sites (Scotland & Plymouth)

Desirable:

• Teaching, training, assessing, coaching or mentoring qualification.
• Knowledge of apprenticeships, vocational qualifications or accredited learning programmes.
• Military, Defence or Royal Navy experience.
• Experience working within education, training delivery, learning and development or apprenticeship environments.
