About The Role

The Mayor and Go! London Partners are committed to ensure that all Children and Young People, have the opportunities they need to fulfil their potential and that sports and physical activity play a big part on opening those opportunities.

This role will support the team in the management of a £22m+ sport and physical activity partnership, which operates as the biggest community sport fund available in London created by the Mayor of London, London Marathon Foundation and Sport England, in partnership with London Sport and London Marathon Events.

What your day will look like

  • Support the team managing working groups and providing secretariat to the two programme boards.
  • Maintain a clear audit trail of all project activity.
  • Create processes to facilitate all of the teams interactions with grantees and delivery partners

Skills, knowledge and experience

To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:

  • The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working as a Team/Office administrator, as well as proven ability to work in a fast-paced role, prioritising and responding to multiple demands.
  • A high level of competence in the operation of standard office information, arranging hybrid meetings and communications technology applications including standard Microsoft Office packages. MS word and Outlook must be advanced level and Excel, Sharepoint /OneDrive and PowerPoint intermediate level
  • First rate communications skills, along with proficient, confident and skilled organisational, administrative and prioritisation skills.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team with excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Experience of supporting project management administration to deliver policy and programme initiatives.

Benefits

GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.

In addition to a good salary package, you will be paid every four weeks, providing frequent salary payments. We also offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme.
