Job summary

B&M Retail is seeking a field-based Profit Protection Manager to cover the South West region, including Bristol, Devon and Cornwall. The role focuses on reducing stock loss and protecting store profitability through investigations and compliance initiatives.

You'll analyse data, work with stores on loss reports, and deliver training to store management to drive profitable and secure stores across the region. A company car, laptop and phone are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Profit Protection/Loss Prevention with measurable results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience using POS and stock management systems to investigate anomalies.

Responsibilities

Job description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a field-based Profit Protection Manager to join our team covering the South West region, particularly in the Bristol, Devon and Cornwall area! This role would be suited to an experienced Profit Protection or Loss Prevention individual with a proven record of controlling shrinkage and a passion for compliance and store profitability.

At B&M, as a Profit Protection Manager you will ensure that the stores' physical security is at its optimum level in line with Company procedures. You will be responsible for reducing stock loss in line with Company targets through internal/external theft and fraud resolution.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Analysing and interpreting data to ensure maximum impact on company profitability
• Working with stores to monitor & analyse area loss reports
• Continuously reviewing, assessing, and identifying risks within the stores
• Investigating cash losses, loss causing activity & conducting investigations
• Conducting and preparation for investigations into serious procedural breaches
• Ensuring effective communication channels between profit protection & retail operations
• Delivering training sessions with store management teams

The skills & experience you’ll bring:

• Demonstrated experience in a Profit Protection/Loss Prevention role, with proven results of implemented initiatives to ensure profit protection
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications; Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience of using point of sale & stock management systems to investigate anomalies
