This is a role supporting the Litigation division of the firm within its established Knowledge Management department, comprising other PSLs and a library manager. The role will focus on:

  • Keeping the team updated on relevant legal and procedural updates by preparing and circulating internal updates.
  • Curating existing know-how resources and producing new resources, as well as handling fee earner queries.
  • Working with others to identify and develop best practices.
  • Delivering or arranging technical and other training to teams and clients.
  • Supporting broader departmental business development activities, including profile raising and staying ahead of developments and technology.
Accountabilities

Purpose of the job

This role supports the Litigation division within the Knowledge Management department, focusing on:

  • Knowledge sharing initiatives and delivering technical training to the team.
  • Updating the firm's precedent database, creating new resources, and developing best practice procedures. Experience in all law areas is not expected; focus on commercial/contract law is advantageous.
  • Producing materials for client bulletins, articles, webinars, and podcasts on legal developments.
  • Supporting training and current awareness updates for clients and intermediaries.
Professional Skills
  • Comfort in developing seminars and training fee earners at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of litigation and dispute resolution law and practice, with the ability to convey complex concepts confidently and accessibly.
The Candidate

The successful candidate will have significant litigation experience in England & Wales, either in private practice or in-house, with an excellent academic record. PSL experience is desirable but not essential.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Discretion and excellent IT skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with Prezi, Webex, or Adobe Connect is a plus.
  • Positive, enthusiastic team player, adaptable, flexible, self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under pressure to deadlines.
  • Committed to ongoing learning and development.
