Sunny Recruitment is seeking a Production Workshop Technician for a full-time, on-site role in Whitland. You will set up and operate press brake and laser profile cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal components from engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a press brake and laser profile cutter in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Good understanding of workshop health and safety.
• Positive attitude, good timekeeping and teamwork skills.
• Forklift licence or additional fabrication experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal components.
• Operate laser profile cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions and production schedules.
• Carry out in-process quality checks to ensure components meet required tolerances.
• Load and unload materials and handle finished components safely.
• Carry out routine machine checks and basic maintenance.
• Report any machine faults promptly.
• Support general workshop and production activities when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Salary range: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable Production Workshop Technician to join their busy workshop team. This is a hands on role suited to someone with experience operating press brake machinery and laser profile cutting equipment within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

The Production Workshop Technician will be responsible for setting up and operating workshop machinery to produce accurate, high quality components. You'll work from engineering drawings and production schedules, carrying out quality checks and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
