Job summary

Ganymede Solutions in Derby seeks an experienced Press Brake Operative to join its fabrication team. You will set up, program and operate an Amada HFE 130T to produce folded sheet metal parts from engineering drawings with tight tolerances.

You'll read drawings, select tooling, perform quality checks and maintain a clean, safe workshop. A background in sheet metal fabrication and laser cutting is advantageous; a permanent position may follow a successful temp period.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting Press Brake machinery.
• Experience with Amada Press Brakes desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in sheet metal or fabrication environment.
• Strong understanding of tooling, bend angles and machine setup.
• Laser cutting experience advantageous.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
• It is important to work independently as well as in a team.

Press Brake Operative

Location: Derby

Pay: £15 – £16 per hour + holiday pay £1.81–£1.93 per hour.

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–4:15pm

Contract: Temp-to-Perm

The Role

I am looking for an experienced Press Brake Operative to join the fabrication team.

This is a hands‑on role working with an Amada HFE 130T 3m 8‑axis Press Brake, producing high‑quality sheet metal components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances. Experience with laser cutting machinery would also be advantageous, as the workshop operates a Boxford BFL(Apply online only)W Fibre Metal Laser Cutter.

Key Responsibilities
