Job summary

April Quest in Havant, Hampshire is seeking a Production Supervisor for the permanent night shift to lead a small to mid-sized team and keep manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for the performance of the shift, ensuring targets are met without compromising safety, quality or delivery, and coaching colleagues to improve during the night.

Production Supervisor (Nights)

Are you an experienced Production Supervisor with a background working night shifts? Do you enjoy leading a production team and keeping manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently?

An established manufacturer is looking for a Production Supervisor to lead a small to mid-sized team on its permanent night shift.

You will take responsibility for the performance of the shift, ensuring production targets are achieved without compromising safety, quality or delivery.

What you'll be doing as a Production Supervisor:

• Leading and supporting a small to mid-sized production team.
• Ensuring the production plan is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Monitoring performance against production targets and KPIs.
• Managing staffing levels, priorities and day-to-day issues across the shift.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety across the manufacturing area.
• Addressing production or quality issues and escalating where required.
• Ensuring clear communication and effective handovers between shifts.
• Coaching team members and holding people accountable for their performance.
• Supporting continuous improvements across safety, quality, delivery and cost.

What we're looking for from the Production Supervisor:

You'll need:

• Previous experience working as a Production Supervisor on night shifts.
• Experience leading a small to mid-sized team within a manufacturing environment.
• A practical understanding of production, health and safety, quality and delivery requirements.
• The confidence to manage people, priorities and operational issues during the night shift.

Your manufacturing experience does not need to come from a particular sector. Experience within electronics or mechanical assembly would be useful, but it is not essential.
