Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to be part of their ambitious growth plans. You will join a great team aiming to future-proof their business through an exciting period of transformation.

You will oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. You will manage a team of skilled production staff and work closely with senior management to optimize production flow, reduce waste, and meet demanding deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Own daily stand-up meetings to address issues raised by the production team, capturing data to understand overall performance against KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People within visual management systems.
2. Oversee planning and scheduling of production to meet client deadlines.
3. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality standards, with a focus on fire safety requirements.
4. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
5. Collaborate with design, engineering, and quality control teams to resolve issues and maintain product excellence.
6. Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and procurement in collaboration with supply chain teams.
7. Prepare and maintain reports on production metrics, ensuring transparency and clear communication with senior leadership.

Key Performance Indicators:

1. Comply with statutory regulations and organizational safety requirements.
2. Contribute to hazard and risk assessments.
3. Report on visual management systems, monitor results, and contribute to recovery of underperforming areas. Manage corrective actions.
4. Assist in creating standard operating procedures.
5. Apply continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques.
6. Support project delivery, assigning tasks to team members.
7. Guide and mentor team members to ensure accountability in work practices.
8. Ensure timely and complete delivery of goods to customers.

Qualifications:

• ILM Level 3 or equivalent essential.
• Exposure to Lean and Six Sigma is desirable.
