Job Description

Summary: This is a hands-on supervisory position. The Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in manufacturing processes, such as assembling, welding, and applying knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products.

Schedule: 9/80 - every other Friday off!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise the daily work activities of an assigned production team
  • Participate in the hiring process
  • Reconcile and approve payroll time sheets bi-weekly
  • Complete performance evaluations for all direct reports as per company policy
  • Oversee and/or conduct training of new and existing employees
  • Fabricate and test thermal products and support hardware
  • Identify materials, both incoming and in-process, as required per material identification and inspection procedures
  • Complete and maintain manufacturing travelers, as required
  • Ensure product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Perform in-process and final inspections, as required
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Work as part of the team to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Monitor quality of incoming raw materials and finished products
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
  • Interpret or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist production workers in solving work issues
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
Requirements:
  • Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school; or 2-5 years of related production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical and fabrication skills are highly desirable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership ability and persuasiveness
  • Proficiency with various computer applications
  • Prior supervision or training experience is advantageous
  • Innovative mindset and teamwork mentality are essential
  • Authorized to work in the US, including Permanent Residents or Protected Individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), due to ITAR responsibilities
