Job summary

MTrec Technical is seeking a Production Supervisor for a permanent role in the United Kingdom. The role involves hands-on leadership on the shop floor, 5S implementation, and coordinating planning of job inputs/outputs to ensure on-time delivery.

Candidates should have fabrication workshop experience, PPE and health & safety awareness, and strong people management skills. The role requires lean manufacturing knowledge (Kanban) and flexibility for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership on the shop floor.
• Implement 5S on the production floor.
• Hands-on shop floor management in a jobbing environment.
• Plan job inputs and outputs with the team.
• Monitor methods and workflow to improve efficiency.
• Update written and database systems.
• Monitor stock levels and assist purchasing.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment and enforce health and safety rules (PPE).
• Achieve on-time delivery of operations.
• Engage and train operation staff through toolbox talks (formal and informal).
• Maintain, monitor and report on target timings.
• Ensure documentation and standard operating procedures are maintained and followed.
• Oversee recruitment, disciplinary processes and timekeeping.

• Providing strong leadership.

• Updating written and database systems.
• Monitoring stock levels/ purchasing.
• Motivational management maintaining HSE and safe and tidy work environment.
• Achieving planned delivery on time.
• Enabling engagement and training of operation with informal and formal toolbox talks.
• Maintaining, monitoring and reporting job target timings.
• Ensuring all documentation and standard operating procedures are maintained and complied with.
• Ensure the management, recruitment, disciplinary and timekeeping of staff.
• Ensure health and safety rules are followed and PPE is always used as appropriate.
