Job summary

MTrec Ltd is seeking an exceptional Production Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of our manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role for someone who stays close to production, knows how to organise people and machinery, and takes personal responsibility for getting the job finished properly and on time.

You will lead a team of around 15 production employees, plan and control production, allocate labour and capacity, ensure targets and delivery dates are met,

Qualifications

• Proven manufacturing/production management experience.
• Experience managing a team.
• Welding/fabrication industry experience.
• Strong planning and organisational ability.
• Hands-on management style.
• Excellent communication and people-management skills.
• Track record of improving productivity, delivery or quality.
• Sees a problem on the factory floor and acts.

Responsibilities

• You will have overall responsibility for planning and controlling production, working closely with our Foreman and a team of approximately 15 production employees.
• Creating and maintaining daily and weekly production plans.
• Allocating labour and machine capacity effectively.
• Ensuring production targets and delivery dates are achieved.
• Monitoring productivity, quality, waste and downtime.
• Identifying and removing production bottlenecks.
• Managing and developing the production team.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, quality and health & safety.
• Producing clear production reports and KPIs.
• Taking ownership when production falls behind plan and putting it back on track.
