Production Supervisor

Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Annual Salary: Between £35,000 and £40,000 DOE

Day to Day Duties

As a Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

1. Supervising your Production team, ensuring timely completion of responsibilities aligned with Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People targets.
2. Developing your team to strengthen and enhance production capabilities and flexibility.
3. Monitoring attendance performance and managing absences according to company procedures.
4. Ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedures, confirming production output meets specifications.
5. Strictly following Standard Operating Instructions, especially regarding Health & Safety and Quality.
6. Managing production plans and schedules, ensuring work sequences are followed.
7. Identifying and resolving production issues swiftly, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
8. Supporting the introduction of new products and processes from a production perspective.

Essential Skills

To succeed as a Production Supervisor, you should have:

1. Significant experience in Production and Operations management within a complex manufacturing environment.
2. Extensive experience using ERP systems, preferably IFS.
3. Knowledge of Production and Operations management methodologies.
4. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Desirable Experience

It would be advantageous if you have:

1. Leadership and management experience within a team.
2. Strong mentoring skills.
3. Excellent attention to detail.
4. A 'Completer/Finisher' mindset.
5. Methodical and organised approach.
6. Openness to change.
7. Experience with LEAN methodologies.
