Job Description:

As a key people leader in the production directorate, the role reports directly to the Production Manager (PM). In the absence of the Production Manager, the Supervisor(s) will have delegated functional and disciplinary authority over the operational program and all colleagues within the department. Strategic and financial decisions will at all times remain with the Production Manager. Depending on the department setup, the Supervisor may have dedicated functional responsibilities, but will have an overarching mandate to support all of the Production Manager's duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• HNC/HND (or equivalent), preferably in engineering or aircraft maintenance, or
• Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship, or
• Demonstrable equivalent experience leading technical teams

Experience and Knowledge:

• People management experience in an operational, unionized environment
• Effective communication and influencing skills
• Proven performance management experience
• Experience in coaching and development of self and teams
• Understanding of MRO operations and processes
• Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., CAA/FAA/EASA)
• Process improvement and change management skills
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
• Proficiency with data input and manipulation (e.g., SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
