Job description

As a key people leader in the production directorate, the role reports directly to the Production Manager (PM). In the absence of the Production Manager, the Supervisor(s) will have delegated functional and disciplinary authority over the operational program and all colleagues within the department. Strategic and financial decisions will at all times remain with the Production Manager. Depending on the department setup, the Supervisor may have dedicated functional responsibilities, but will have an overarching mandate to support all of the Production Manager's duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• HNC/HND (or equivalent) preferably in an engineering or aircraft maintenance discipline or
• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or
• Demonstrable equivalent experience leading technical teams

Experience and Knowledge:

• People management experience within an operational, unionised environment
• Proven communication skills to engage and influence team members
• Experience in performance management
• Coaching and development of self and teams
• Understanding of MRO operations and processes
• Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., CAA/FAA/EASA)
• Process improvement and change management skills
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• Proficiency with data platforms (e.g., SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Trustworthiness
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to communicate operational and business strategies effectively
• Good organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills

Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK without restrictions.

Mandatory training will be required.

Work shifts may include “Double Days” or “4 on 4 off”.
