Contract Personnel Ltd. urgently require an experienced Production Supervisor for our Brandon-based client in a busy manufacturing environment. The role combines production team supervision with hands-on involvement to keep operations running efficiently, safely, and in line with GMP standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and excellent analytical thinking, with flexibility to respond to changing production demands and meet customer specifications.

Production Supervisor

Contract Personnel Ltd urgently require an experienced Production Supervisor for our client based in Brandon.

This is an ongoing temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate, combining production team supervision with hands-on involvement in a busy manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring operations run efficiently, safely and in accordance with manufacturing specifications, GMP standards and customer requirements.

We are looking for a motivated, reliable and flexible individual with strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach and excellent analytical thinking.

Pay & Working Hours

• Pay rate: £16.39 per hour

• Working hours: Flexible, usually 6:30 am - 4:00 pm

• Overtime: Available after 39 hours per week

• Contract: Temporary to permanent for the right candidate

Flexibility regarding working hours is essential, alongside a strong work ethic, commitment and the ability to respond effectively to changing production demands.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Quality Control

• Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and company procedures.

• Oversee the setup and preparation of production lines before start-up.

• Maintain a good working knowledge of relevant production equipment.

• Ensure production processes meet customer specifications and quality standards.

• Oversee production documentation and ERP paperwork to ensure compliance.

• Monitor and update KPIs to ensure efficiency targets are achieved.

Team Leadership & People Management

• Supervise Team Leaders and production staff.

• Authorise employee timesheets and holiday requests.

• Conduct return-to-work interviews and investigation meetings.

• Carry out one-to-one meetings and performance appraisals.

• Lead toolbox talks, team briefings and meetings.

• Identify and coordinate training requirements within the team.

• Liaise with temporary recruitment agencies to meet daily staffing requirements.

• Ensure timekeeping and attendance records are completed accurately and promptly.

• Motivate and support the team to achieve production targets and maintain high standards.

• Undertake any other duties as required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a production supervisory or team leadership role, ideally within manufacturing.
