Job summary

10 recruitment is seeking a Production Supervisor in Normanton, West Yorkshire. The role is permanent, with a shift from 2:30pm to 10:30pm, Monday to Friday.

The position offers £15.31 per hour plus £1.00 per hour shift allowance and a structured pathway to lead a busy production team. You will organise daily production schedules, monitor quality and drive improvements to reduce waste and downtime while mentoring team members and coordinating with Procurement and HR.

• Well organised and able to manage changing priorities.
• Experience supervising a production team is desirable.
• Good understanding of health & safety and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Organising daily production schedules, labour and workloads.
• Supervising production to achieve targets, deadlines and KPIs.
• Monitoring quality and taking action on non-conformance.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce waste and downtime.
• Training, mentoring and supporting team members.
• Managing performance, holidays, attendance and absence.
• Conducting return-to-work interviews.
• Maintaining production records and reporting progress.
• Working with other departments, including Procurement and HR.
• Helping maintain a safe, organised working environment.
• Supporting the creation of Standard Operating Procedures.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need to be well organised, comfortable managing changing priorities and able to communicate clearly with people at all levels. A good understanding of health & safety and safe working practices is essential.

Previous supervisory experience is desirable, alongside Health & Safety Awareness or IOSH Working Safely.
