Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to support a global manufacturing leader in Halifax in their search for a Production Shift Supervisor. You will lead on shift, keep people, processes and product flowing, and collaborate with the Shift Manager to quickly resolve issues and maintain quality.

The role operates on Continental Shifts (4 on / 4 off) and requires hands-on leadership to drive performance, safety and adherence to SOPs across the lines.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of production standards and how to meet them.
• Proactive, hands-on problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-shift lead, support daily production performance.
• Identify and resolve quality and production issues in real-time.
• Ensure all workstations have SOPs displayed and up to date.
• Maintain high quality standards and ensure outputs meet specifications.
• Coordinate movement of finished goods to correct locations.
• Drive 5S and maintain excellent housekeeping.
• Complete line checks, documentation and smooth shift handovers.
• Monitor waste, changeovers and operational efficiency.
