Job summary

A-SAFE is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to lead a fast-paced manufacturing shift in Elland. You will oversee day-to-day shop-floor activity, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery while coaching a team of production operatives.

You will monitor lines, coordinate cross-functional shift tasks and maintain production records. Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills are essential to drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment with an understanding of production-floor standards and priorities.
• Previous experience leading, supervising or coordinating people on a production shift, while remaining approachable.
• Excellent spoken and written English for clear shift updates and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lead Production Operatives across the shift, providing clear direction and acting as the first point of contact for day-to-day questions.
• Prioritise safety, enforce policies and maintain a safe working environment.
• Coordinate shift activity to meet schedules, targets and deliveries.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and are correctly packaged, labelled and stored.
• Troubleshoot production and quality issues, raise nonconformity reports and escalate as needed.
