Job summary

Forterra Building Products is seeking a highly organised Shift Manager for our Kirton operation. You will oversee shift operations, lead production teams and ensure targets are met safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong leadership, cost awareness and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. You will manage safety, quality and productivity standards and collaborate with the site management team to drive performance, employee development and engagement within a manufacturing

• Experience in leading shift teams in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and lead shift teams to deliver production activities safely and efficiently.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are met and compliant with legislation and standards.
• Develop capability and performance of team members to drive excellence.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
• Identify and implement operational improvements to reduce costs and waste.
• Lead and support people management activities including performance and development.
• Contribute to plant management decisions and strategic planning.
• Drive energy reduction and environmental considerations within processes.
