Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or production management experience in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to meet targets.
• Experience overseeing multiple departments or lines.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety, quality standards, and compliance.
• Experience investigating and resolving production, quality, and performance issues.
• Ability to analyze performance data and implement corrective actions.
• Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or problem-solving methodologies.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating across shifts.
• Experience supporting employee development, training and succession planning.
• Competent in production reporting and performance monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all production activities across assigned areas to meet targets.
• Deliver production schedules and priorities in line with business needs.
• Allocate labour and resources to maximise productivity.
• Monitor performance and take action to address bottlenecks.
• Develop Team Leaders to meet operational objectives.
• Manage day-to-day operations across departments.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions and procedures.
• Promote a Right First-Time culture and address quality concerns.
• Act as senior safety lead on shift and uphold health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Lead investigations into incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure effective shift handovers and communication with management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity, quality, safety.
• Support employee development, onboarding, recruitment, and succession planning.
• Maintain housekeeping, organisation and discipline on the production floor.
