Job summary

Ambitions Personnel is seeking a hands-on Production & Quality Team Leader to join our manufacturing operation. You will oversee day-to-day production, support the team, and ensure safety, quality, productivity and efficiency targets are met.

You will drive production standards, identify issues and help develop processes and people. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication and proactive problem-solving within a busy factory environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a manufacturing, production or quality environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes and health & safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication and people-management skills.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider operational team.
• Good IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and support production activities and personnel across the production floor.
• Ensure daily production targets, quality standards and deadlines are achieved.
• Accurately input and maintain daily production figures and records.
• Monitor product quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Complete a minimum of two quality patrols per shift, ensuring agreed quality standards are maintained.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
• Train, coach and develop team members to support performance and progression.
• Identify and report production, quality or operational issues to management.
• Work closely with Setters, Maintenance, Quality and Logistics teams to resolve issues and maintain smooth production.
• Support effective production stock control.
• Oversee and participate in monthly and annual stock takes.
• Encourage a positive culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure company procedures, processes and health & safety requirements are consistently followed.
