Job summary

Thompson Aero Seating is seeking a production planning professional to translate customer demand into actionable plans for a defined manufacturing area. You will maintain schedules, review data, and interact with Operations, Programme Management and Supply Chain to ensure delivery commitments.

The role requires a good grasp of MRP/ERP concepts, strong data analysis, and excellent communication. You will contribute to reports, drive improvements, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, planning, supply chain, or data analysis.
• Knowledge of production, supply chain, and planning principles; proficiency in MRP/ERP systems.
• Proficient in Excel; ability to interpret data and produce routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the production plan and schedule for an assigned area.
• Review demand and independently update planning data, order priorities and master data within the MRP system.
• Monitor production performance against the plan; investigate variances and coordinate recovery actions.
• Complete capacity and WIP reviews; identify constraints and recommend actions.
• Act as the day-to-day planning contact with Operations, Programme Management, Supply Chain and other functions.
• Produce and communicate accurate planning reports, trackers, and plan updates.
• Make routine planning decisions within defined authority and elevate significant risks.
• Identify and implement improvements to planning data, reports and processes.
• Follow all company procedures and ensure health, safety, quality and compliance requirements.
