Job Opportunity: Production Planning Manager at BAE Systems Australia

Join a thriving sector that is at the forefront of innovative technology. We are looking for a Production Planning Manager to join our Advanced Manufacturing business unit located at Edinburgh Parks, SA.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain accurate make-to-order production schedules aligned with customer requirements, material availability, and capacity constraints.
  2. Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and shop floor teams to ensure timely production execution.
  3. Maintain planning data accuracy in Oracle ERP and lead initiatives to improve the MRP system.
  4. Collaborate with IT to identify system gaps, define requirements, and test system improvements or customizations.
  5. Lead the adoption and optimization of Oracle modules by working with stakeholders on scope, readiness, and implementation.
  6. Provide leadership and mentorship to the planning team, including setting KPIs and supporting professional development.
  7. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on lead time reduction, efficiency, and digitization.
  8. Generate and analyze production reports to support decision-making.

About You:

  • Proven experience in production planning or operations within manufacturing.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience with make-to-order production and demand-driven planning.
  • Management experience with ERP system improvements, module implementations, or IT projects is highly desirable.
  • A background in electronics and/or machinery domains is beneficial.
