A well established manufacturing organisation is seeking a Production Planner to support the smooth running of its operations. You will play a central role in organising workload across multiple stages of production and ensuring that materials, schedules and resources align with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan capacity across all production areas including fabrication, coating and associated finishing processes
  • Support time studies to keep capacity data accurate and up to date
  • Maintain and update works orders within the company's MRP system
  • Issue clear production schedules and monitor progress through each stage
  • Assist with maintaining adequate stock levels in line with business requirements
  • Regularly review planned work against material availability and customer requirements
  • Coordinate any external finishing activities with approved suppliers
  • Work closely with internal teams to obtain information required to keep plans on track
  • Provide reliable completion dates to customer service, installation and other departments
Experience and Skills Required
  • Background in manufacturing with experience in production planning or scheduling
  • Confident using IT including Microsoft Office with training provided on in house systems
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and how work flows through production
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
