Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Production Operative with a valid FLT counterbalance licence to join a busy production site in Burslem. You will operate various production machines to deliver high-quality products and frequently use a counterbalance forklift as part of daily tasks.

The role requires a proactive, safety-conscious approach and a flexible mindset. The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and effective communication within a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading organisation in the manufacturing and production sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Operative with a external Forklift Truck (FLT) licence to join their dynamic team in Burslem. Working Pattern

Full Time. Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-14:00PM an Friday 6:00AM-13:00PM

Key Responsibilities

• As a Production Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within the production facility. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Operating various production machinery including mills , blenders , kilns and mixers to produce finished products to the highest standard.
• Operating counterbalance forklift truck on a daily basis.
• Work proactively within a cross functional team. Expectation is to multi skill and learn several of the processes.
• Support and contribute to a program of continuous improvement at the site.
• Safety - Follow stringent safety and environmental regulations . Contribute by identifying potential hazards and near misses.
• Work at all times in accordance with Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality procedures.

The successful candidate will possess

• A valid FLT counterbalance licence.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and safety compliance.
• Have a flexible approach at all times.
