Overview

Manpower is recruiting Production Operatives to work for our client, based in Butlerfield Industrial Estate, Bonnyrigg. You will work within the factory on the production line packing food products in anticipation of their Christmas selection line.

Hours and benefits
  • Monday - Friday role - Working 06:30 - 14:30 each day.
  • £12.40 Per hour, rising to £12.65 after 12 weeks.
  • Overtime after 8 hours paid at 1.5X base rate.

Duties involved

As a Production Operative, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Checking products for quality on the production line and removing defective items
  • Keeping machines supplied with packaging materials and labels
  • May be some heavy lifting involved loading products onto pallets
The ideal candidate will have
  • Good observational skills to spot defective products
  • Patience to carry out repetitive tasks
  • The ability to work quickly to meet production targets
  • Good team working skills and the ability to work on your own
  • The ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines and quality procedures

All candidates must complete an online health and safety induction online before commencing work. Successful completion of induction includes a 2 hour payment for induction time, after completing 1 full shift.
