Operations Team Member
Bridgend, Wales
Salary: £31,180 starting salary
Hours: Working 40 hours per week on a 3-week shift pattern (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm & 10pm - 6am) Monday to Friday, with overtime available.
Marshalls Bricks and Masonry brings over 100 years expertise in the walling sector. We design, manufacture, and deliver bricks, walling and masonry with a specialism in low carbon concrete bricks. We are part of Marshalls PLC, the UK's leading manufacturer of hard landscaping, building and roofing products.

As part of our investment and growth plans for Marshalls Bricks and Masonry, we're recruiting for a Production Operative, also known as an Operations Team Member, to join our manufacturing site at Bridgend.

What will you do?
You will be joining our team on a permanent basis, making concrete products to the required specifications for the end customer. You will have experience working in an environment where safety, quality, waste, and OEE targets are standard. Your duties include the efficient manufacturing of high-quality Decorative Architectural Masonry and other concrete products, using all operational techniques. The role involves manual handling, powered hand tools, machinery, and mechanical handling equipment, so experience with these is essential.

Full training will be provided, and flexibility is required during this period.

Key skills required:

  • Experience in a small/medium manufacturing environment, preferably related industry but not essential
  • FLT counterbalance licence
  • Team player with attention to detail
  • Good command of English, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of OEE (advantageous)
  • A proactive mindset focused on process improvement and continuous improvement
