Production Operative
Pollington, Goole DN14 0DU
(36 hours, 12hr shifts 3 on, 1 off, 3 on, 7 off)

Marshalls Civils and Drainage is a leading manufacturer of precast concrete drainage and bespoke products with manufacturing sites in Pollington and Mells. Part of the Marshalls Group, a thriving FTSE 250 company, our brand is synonymous with quality, supplying prestigious landmarks across the UK.

Due to our continued success, we are recruiting for a Production Operative, also known as an Operations Team Member, at our Pollington site. The role requires a background in manufacturing production plants.

What’s the mission?

You will be responsible for the safe operation of plant and equipment, including mechanical handling equipment such as FLTs, to manufacture concrete products to required specifications. You will contribute to site safety, quality, waste reduction, and achieving OEE targets. Initially, you will work the day shift from 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. After training, you will transition to our 12-hour shift pattern.

Key skills and experience:

• Previous experience or understanding of working within a manufacturing production plant
• Desirable: Concrete manufacturing experience
• Desirable: FLT license
• Team player with attention to detail
• Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is advantageous
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools is advantageous
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English
