The role involves drilling, tapping and turning aluminium components to meet quality and production targets, with full training provided.

Competitive pay from £12.71 per hour, with afternoon and night shift premiums (£14.12 and £16.95 respectively). The position offers a 40-hour contract and long-term development of CNC skills.

Qualifications

• Previous engineering or manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Experience operating machinery would be advantageous.
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing demands.
• Good attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and highly driven.
• Able to use initiative and work without direct supervision.
• Willing to undertake relevant training.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements.
• Able to work towards production targets and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Drill, tap and turn aluminium components.
• Prepare and pack finished parts ready for despatch.
• Ensure products meet required quality standards.
• Identify and report any quality issues or deviations from specification.
• Meet production schedules and relevant KPIs.
• Finish products to a high standard and ensure they match the required Golden Sample.
• Check visual aids before completing processes.
• Safely and efficiently operate machinery, tooling and equipment.
• Ensure equipment remains in its designated area.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Follow all company Health & Safety requirements.
• Report any concerns or wrongdoing to the Team Leader or SMT.
• Work effectively alongside the Team Leader and wider production team.
• Take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and that of others.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Team Leader.

Contract: 40 hours per week
