Job summary

JDR Recruitment are recruiting experienced Production Operatives for a manufacturing site in Middleton, M24. You will operate machinery, load materials, and assemble, bond, trim and pack mats to specification.

Maintain quality, report defects, and keep accurate records while following health and safety rules. We offer steady shifts and opportunities for permanent roles after training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good attention to detail and quality standards.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience operating manufacturing machinery.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a factory environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and free from hazards.
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Assist with stock movement and material handling as required.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the factory.

Shift Pattern

Monday - Friday rotating 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am - must be able to work all 3 shifts

Pay Rate

6am-2pm - £13.08 per hour

2pm - 10pm - 13.08 per hour for 5.5 hours & £14.14 for 2 hours per shift

10pm-6am - £14.14 per hour

Once candidates are fully trained and permanent, the pay rate will increase to £15.17 per hour for all shifts.
