Job summary

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Production Operatives in Widnes. The role involves operating a range of manufacturing equipment, weighing ingredients, and ensuring product quality.

You will work on either the 6am–2pm or 2pm–10pm shift, earning £12.71 per hour, with a temporary to permanent contract. We are looking for candidates with prior manufacturing experience, strong numeracy and an ability to follow written formulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse or feed mill environment.
• Ability to follow written instructions and formulations accurately.
• Good numeracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
• Awareness of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment such as mixers, mills, conveyors, pellet presses and packing machinery.
• Accurately weigh and add raw materials according to production schedules and formulations.
• Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Complete routine equipment checks and basic maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic working environment in line with standards.
• Conduct quality control inspections and report non-conformances.
• Record production data using paper or electronic systems.
• Load and unload materials using handling equipment where authorised.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and food/feed safety procedures.
• Assist with stock control and inventory checks as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

• Assist with stock control and inventory checks when required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Essential Skills and Experience

We have the following shifts available:

Monday - Friday 6am-2pm

Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm

£12.71 per hour
