Job Description:

My client based in the Sutton Coldfield area is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their team working on a permanent night shift. Responsibilities will include:

• Managing performance to maximize output by organizing departments and minimizing waste (Machine Time/Labour/Scrap).
• Ensuring the allocated labour is utilized effectively to produce quality products at the right time.
• Overseeing all quality aspects of your production line(s), ensuring SOPs are followed by operators.
• Maintaining operator training and Skills Matrix updates; escalating quality risks to the Line manager.
• Monitoring internal Firewall PPM figures and implementing corrective actions to eliminate issues.
• Communicating daily with employees at shift start regarding previous day’s performance and discussing any H&S/Quality issues.
• Managing staff performance issues with support from HR.
• Reviewing cost-driving issues (quality, inefficiencies, waste) and implementing improvements to reduce costs.
• Implementing a daily 5S review system to ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and audited.
• Having experience working in a production environment as a Manager.
• Injection mould experience is desirable.
• Ability to work night shifts (Sunday-Thursday, 10pm-6am).
• Reliable transportation to Sutton Coldfield preferred.
