Job summary

HR Employment Bureau Redditch is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join a Birmingham-area manufacturer on a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday, 06:00–16:15. The role is initially temp to perm with pays at £15.04 per hour, offering stability and progression.

You will read fabrication drawings, weld mild steel in 1mm–15mm thickness, set welding machines, inspect profiles, grind and finish parts, and pass a weld test. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Reading fabrication drawings to interpret welds.
• Welding various thickness of mild steel (1mm-15mm).
• Setting welding machines and maintaining weld quality.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify profile issues.
• Grinding and polishing finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG welding to fabricate components.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment for optimal welds.
• Inspect welded work and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Grind and finish components to required standards.
• Pass a weld test to demonstrate competence.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:00am-16:15pm

We are seeking skilled Production Mig Welders to join our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily using Mig welding techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in sheet metal work, fabrication, and assembly. The position requires attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment.
