Job Description: Production Manager at Severnside Plant

Are you an experienced people leader with a passion for coaching and developing large teams? Do you have a continuous improvement mindset? Do you like a fast-paced role, as part of a network?

We are recruiting for a Production Manager for our Severnside Plant. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for all on-site operations and driving continuous improvement (CI). It is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in developing and leading large teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Zero Harm and Safety Differently initiatives effectively
  • Implement Zero Defect policies and procedures
  • Achieve production and efficiency targets
  • Increase process reliability
  • Engage operations teams with business values and objectives
  • Design and implement changes based on data and root cause analysis (e.g., risk assessments, 5S, benchmarking)
  • Monitor and report CI metrics including plant efficiency, OEE, near misses, and product flow compliance
  • Lead and facilitate improvement activities using Kaizen and DMAIC approaches
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Ideally, Six Sigma Green Belt or CI/lean-based qualification
  • Experience in lean-based/CI operational roles is advantageous
  • Experience in team and shift leadership
  • Familiarity with quality standards and working in quality-focused environments
  • Highly organized, proactive, self-motivated, and persistent
  • Good coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS-Office applications
  • Leadership, project management, and change management capabilities
