Job description

The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes operate smoothly and efficiently whilst maintaining costs. This role involves overseeing production schedules, managing resources, and maintaining high quality standards while adhering to safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and exceptional organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and organise production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Assess project and resource requirements to optimise workflow and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all production activities.
  • Establish and maintain quality control standards to meet production goals.
  • Supervise and manage production processes, adjusting as necessary.
  • Renegotiate schedules and timelines when required to accommodate changes.
  • Manage and maintain stock and stock requirements of the business.
  • Coordinate the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
  • Collaborate with the sales teams to align production with the business’s needs.
  • Oversee and manage production staff, including our cleaning and warehouse team.
  • Manage staff recruitment of the business, liaising with third party services to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Complete inductions of new staff and managing training as required.
  • Ensure compliance with BRC guidelines as directed by our Technical Manager.
  • Any other business that is reasonably required.
