Job summary

Mitie Group is seeking a Production Support Engineer (Mechanical Maintenance) to join our manufacturing engineering function. You will work on maintenance, inspection, fault diagnostics, repairs, and improvements to ensure equipment reliability and availability for production.

You will perform planned and reactive tasks across a range of assets, while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance, and collaborating with experienced teammates to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, engineering, manufacturing, facilities management, or production support.
• Mechanical maintenance, inspection, repair, or fault-finding knowledge is desirable.
• City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent vocational qualification is beneficial.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential; FLT Licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, fault diagnosis, repairs, and reactive maintenance across production assets.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and update company systems; identify defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure work complies with Health & Safety, Safe Systems of Work, and Permit to Work.
