Job summary

Mitie is recruiting a Production Support Engineer (Mechanical Maintenance) to join our busy manufacturing environment. You will work across production support assets, performing preventive maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis, repairs and reactive tasks to minimise downtime and keep equipment safe and available for production.

You will collaborate with experienced colleagues, maintain maintenance records, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential; FLT licence advantageous.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertakes planned preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, fault diagnosis, repairs and reactive maintenance across production assets.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and updates company systems.
• Identifies equipment defects and recommends corrective actions.
• Ensures all work complies with Health & Safety requirements, Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work.
• Maintains high housekeeping standards and communicates with operational stakeholders.
• Supports equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
