Job summary

Unknown is seeking a maintenance engineer to safeguard equipment reliability through planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site machinery and infrastructure. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and drive improvement to maximise uptime while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include building relations with production teams, maintaining PPM records in our CMMS, and supporting equipment upgrades and wider projects.

Qualifications

• Around 3 years' experience in a manufacturing, production or process-driven environment.
• Strong practical mechanical and electrical engineering skills.
• Experience with electrical circuits, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Self-motivated, able to react quickly to operational requirements.
• Understanding of safe engineering practices and identifying potential risks.
• Ability to build effective relationships with Engineering, Production and colleagues across the wider site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site machinery, equipment and infrastructure to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, identify root causes and implement effective repairs and solutions safely and efficiently.
• Help ensure our equipment and site infrastructure are maintained to a high standard and operating as efficiently as possible.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency and overall site performance.
• Build strong relationships with Production and other site teams, responding to engineering requirements and communicating effectively when issues arise.
• Ensure engineering activities are carried out in line with site Health & Safety requirements, safe systems of work and relevant engineering standards.
• Complete inspections, PPM records and engineering documentation accurately using our CMMS system.
• Contribute to equipment upgrades, remedial works and wider engineering projects that improve the operation for the future.
