Job summary

Serene Stone is seeking a practical Production Manager to lead daily operations at our Pinxton site, overseeing the wet cast and semi-dry cast stone production and ensuring deadlines, quality and safety standards are met.

You will organise the production team, manage workflow, coordinate with sales and dispatch, and drive continuous improvement on processes while maintaining high housekeeping and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in production, manufacturing or construction products is desirable.
• Ability to lead a team on a busy shop floor and meet deadlines.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage daily production across wet and semi-dry stone manufacturing.
• Lead, supervise and support the production team to meet deadlines and standards.
• Allocate labour, materials, moulds and equipment to meet schedules.
• Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks and keep jobs moving.
• Coordinate with sales, design, administration and dispatch to set priorities.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and operational discipline.
• Ensure materials and tools are available and used efficiently.
• Support continuous improvement across methods, team and output.
• Resolve day-to-day issues quickly and escalate when necessary.
• Foster a positive, productive and accountable team culture.
