Job summary

Pertemps Southampton is seeking an experienced Stone Fabricator in Totton for a temporary 2-3 month assignment. The role focuses on transforming natural stone into bespoke pieces for a variety of projects across the UK.

It offers hands-on work with traditional craftsmanship and modern manufacturing techniques, with a PAYE hourly rate of £19.23. You will join a production team dedicated to high-quality finishes, working Monday to Friday, 8am-5:30pm, with opportunities to handle diverse stone

Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, workshop machinery, or working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• An eye for detail and a commitment to producing work to the highest standard.
• Someone who works well as part of a team and has a positive, can-do attitude.
• Comfortable handling stone materials safely.

Responsibilities

• Transform natural stone into bespoke products for diverse projects as part of the production team.
• Work on varied assignments from luxury stone furniture to stone cladding panels.
• Handle a range of natural stones and lightweight stone composite materials with traditional and modern techniques.
• Develop new skills by collaborating with experienced fabricators and using specialist machinery and hand tools.

About the Role

Pertemps are looking for an experienced and proactive Stone Fabricator to support our client through their busy period. They specialise in high-end, lightweight stone fabrication for exciting projects across the UK and internationally.

We're looking for someone who's not just skilled with tools and materials, but who genuinely enjoys craftsmanship and takes pride in producing exceptional work. You may have experience in stone masonry, kitchen worktop fabrication, construction, carpentry, manufacturing, or a similar trade.

Key Responsibilities

• You'll be an integral part of our production team, transforming natural stone into bespoke products for a huge variety of projects.
• Every project is different. One week you could be fabricating luxury stone furniture or feature walls; the next, precision-manufacturing lightweight stone cladding panels for prestigious commercial developments.
• You'll work with a wide range of natural stones and innovative lightweight stone composite materials, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing techniques.
• You'll have the opportunity to develop new skills, working alongside experienced fabricators and using specialist machinery, hand tools, and finishing techniques.
